Like any good bargain shopper, I love me some Target (or Tar-jay)!
I especially love their new Marketplace – such a peaceful way to grocery shop…but I digress.
However, this time around I was surprised with some of the fun items I found all for less than $3.
No effin’ joke here.
Maleficent cereal bowl – $2.78
Oh yes, you know I had to grab this one! I don’t even know how I spotted it, but for all those Disney fans, they have a complete Disney villians collection. Online it shows this as part of a set of 6, but it was all by its lonesome at my local Target for that spectacular price. Rummage for your own!
Owl Buddies – $1.00
Yes, you read correctly. I was able to find this adorable duo in the famed Dollar Spot for a dollar each! I could hardly believe my eyes, so naturally a grabbed a pair for myself and another for my owl-obsessed buddy. Unfortunately, I just swung by Target again today (told you it was one of my favorites), and they were already gone. All Targets are different though, so give it a look-see just in case 
Paul Frank magnets – $1.38
I love that Target carries Paul Frank products, and not only for the kiddies. I’ve picked up thank you notes, napkins and now magnets for my refrigerator! How cute are they? I love how they compliment all our fun photo booth images I have wallpapering my kitchen appliances. P.S., who can you spot on my fridge?

The wait is finally almost over! If you are just as big a fan as I am of Showtime’s outrageous show, United States of Tara, it has felt like an eternity since the show’s last season ended. Thankfully, on March 28th, that will all change. The third season will follow Tara as she decides to head back to school, along with all her alters, which is sure to bring more even more drama to our favorite Kansas family. Want a sneak peek? I am lucky enough to know the lovely people behind the local designer toy store, Pink Ghost. We met after they opened a store across the street from my husband’s office and our friendship has grown throughout the years. These rings are just too much. When I stumbled on this photo on Pinterest, I thought I would be able to find a link to purchase them – little did I know they were a DIY project! I was floored…and after reading the simple tutorial, I was inspired to possibly make a trip to the nearest craft store and give it a whirl myself! These would also make really spectacular and unique gifts for girlfriends or family!
Who wouldn’t want Bobo the dinosaur holding up their books, acting as a door stopper or just staring at you with those non-existent, but somehow adorable eyes? You just can’t resist. Although a little pricey at $48, you can have your own leather Bobo to adorn your bachelor pad, children’s room or office space. It’s kind of weird and sad that I will no longer have a desk to call my own (new job starts in a couple weeks & it’s a contracted position), but if I still did, I would love this little sucker to perch on it. Although I would probably switch out his plain black collar for a nice hot pink number instead.
Don’t you love when you feel like you are re-discovering a band for the first time at every listen? That’s how I feel with The Kills. It’s almost like I forget how amazing they are on a quarterly basis and then magically remember. I have no idea why they are so underrated, but I could listen to them all day. You are probably familiar with front lady Alison Mosshart, from The Dead Weather, but there is just something even more special about her already gritty style while fronting The Kills. I love how the band fluctuates between sultry, fun and emotional almost seamlessly. Needless to say, I am beyond excited for their 4th studio album, Blood Pressures, which is slated for release in April! Hey Kills, if you are listening, please swing by South Florida while on tour!
I may have verbally squealed when I saw this on a friend’s pinterest board. It’s just all sorts of adorable and…it’s pink! If you are a camwhore like myself (hey, I’m honest), a handy dandy tripod that can be carried with you on your bag or purse is a must-have. I can especially see its benefits now that I am doing this 30-day fashion challenge, so I can see it being extremely useful for a fashion blogger. Needless to say, I sent it over to the hubs as a possible Valentine’s Day “stocking stuffer” so to speak, and he replied with, “bought.” Isn’t he the greatest? Want your own? Buy it here!
I love experimenting with desserts. They are usually a lot less difficult to make than main entrees and are just way more fun. Wouldn’t you agree? Definitely the case when it comes to these too-cute chocolate party spoons. They really make an impression with their bright colors and decorative accents, but seem so easy to make! I’m going to have a go at them for our Valentine’s Day celebration (I’m planning the whole thing this year – pressure!), and will definitely report back with a play-by-play. Thanks to Yelp, the hubs and I scored free tickets to see the epic Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the American Airlines Arena on Friday night. Although I wasn’t too familiar with their tuneage, I was ready for an all out rock with your cock out experience complete with pyrotechnics, head-banging and extreme effects. Although that’s exactly what we got, we found ourselves a bit bored mid-way throughout the performance. I think this was due to the drawn out “story line” that took place throughout the show, narrated by an over-enthused man. Unfortunately, these narrations would sometimes outwear their welcome by dragging on for sometimes 10 minutes at a time. However, when they rocked, boy did they ever. I just wish there was more of it.
