Happy Hump Day: Paul McCartney

Very few of you may know that my hubby helps me choose men to feature on hump days. You may laugh, but he has a pretty discerning eye when it comes to hot men (reasons he says I can never go to Rome alone). This week, I was completely stumped. Then he gave me the idea: vintage hotties. Now there’s an idea! I had to begin my first of the many with the always lovely Paul McCartney. Not only is he talented and beautiful, but he sure does have an arsenal of amazing photos. I can’t wait to honor his and the band’s legacy by walking down Abbey Road in a couple of months!

Happy Hump Day: Jason Momoa

Jason Momoa is all sorts of ridiculously good looking. I mean, his hotness is almost revolting. Almost. Although I’ve admired those revolting looks since the Stargate days, his role as Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones really solidified my love. Although that role was short-lived (oh, Dany…why did you listen to that witch?), it looks like it is only the beginning for Mr. Momoa. Something tells me he is going to be a big star after Conan: The Barbarian‘s awesome opening weekend. I don’t think anyone with ovaries will be complaining. ;)

Happy Hump Day: Michael Pitt

Michael Pitt is the perfect balance of pretty boy and grunge rocker: sweet, boyish features paired with a fuck you attitude and a wardrobe that screams, “I may smell a little.” And that seems to have gotten him pretty far: he is doing great on HBO’s hit show, Boardwalk Empire, and stereotypically enough, he’s also the singer and guitarist in a band, Pagoda. He personally reminds me of the late, great Kurt Cobain, so it was no surprise that he played the 90’s grunge prince in Gus Van Sant’s Last Days – a movie that has been on my must-see list for far too long. He also has quite the collection of amazing photographs that I was lucky enough to stumble upon while scouring Tumblr. Make sure to check out the sampling under the cut!

Happy Hump Day: Justin Theroux

Now made even more famous because of his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux is everywhere lately. You cannot visit celebrity blogs without seeing a new paparazzi mugshot with Jen in tow. Not that I’m complaining. Mr. Theroux is a nice little bit of eye candy (go Jen!). But honestly, what I remember him from the most is Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. So sue me! I love a good cheesy movie just like the rest of them. ;)

Happy Hump Day: Matthew Lewis

Can anyone answer this question: when did this happen to Neville Longbottom?

Whether it was caps, removing a fat suit or just the most fabulous puberty session ever – none of us little Harry Potter fangirls are complaining. Go on with your bad self, Neville Matthew!

Happy Hump Day: Francois Arnaud

This mister was another recommendation (thanks for all the tips, ladies!), and although I am not a huge fan of The Borgias (it’s a little too slow moving for me), I can totally appreciate a little Francois Arnaud, who plays Cesare Borgia. Unfortunately, he looks pretty ridiculous in what seems like a wig (?) on the show, and this paired with the ornate period wardrobe can really be a hump day downer. Thankfully, the Tumblrs pulled through with the following magnificent pictures. Adorable shaggy hair, current clothing, smoldering poses: downer no more, ladies!

Happy Hump Day: Charlie Hunnam

Apparently I am missing out on something serious by not watching FX’s Sons of Anarchy. I have several friends that are always raving about it on the Facebooks, but I figured it was some dude-like show that I wouldn’t get into (cue Spartacus – it’s just so ridiculous), being about an outlaw motorcycle club and all. That was, until one of those friends posted the photo above, and I saw exactly what I was missing: Charlie Hunnam. Are you joking me with this guy? Not only does he look like that, but he’s also British (that gives him quite a few more points in my book) – something like that comes packaged with an English accent? Definitely not fair. I see my Netflix working in overdrive in the very near future to catch up with all seasons. Anyone care to join?

Happy Hump Day: Elijah Wood

Sound the alarms, readers! I had not yet featured Elijah Wood on hump day! I know, I am pretty disappointed in myself. I know FX’s Wilfred just started last week (I hope you all watched – it was hilarious), and his role as Frodo will forever be remembered, but my love affair with Mr. Wood started way back. Namely, when I was a tween. Whenever I had a sick day, my mom always knew to bring me home an Elijah Wood movie home from Blockbuster. He then professed his love for The Smashing Pumpkins – my favorite band. And then came Lord of the Rings, my first true nerdy fandom. And it was basically sealed. I’m pretty sure we are destined to be BFF’s, so if you are out there, El Wood, let’s throw back some beers, take some lomo shots, and catch a secret Pumpkins show. Oh, and cuddle.

ps; whoever can state who took the picture above wins Melificent brownie points!

Happy Hump Day: Michael Fassbender

So ladies, I hear you all a-twitter about Mr. Fassbender. Although I was more of a Charles Xavier kind of girl myself, I can see the draw of the good, but tortured boy gone bad. He was absolutely wonderful as Magneto, no doubt about it, and there is most certainly something attractive about him, but I just can’t get into him (har har) for some reason (I think I just don’t like his smile). But plenty of you girls can, and he’s got some really great photos to choose from on the Tumblr’s, so I decided to feature him this week! You can definitely never say that I only think of myself, now can you? ;)

Happy Hump Day: Roberto Luongo

Back in my teens, I’m pretty sure I was the only chick in Miami completely and totally obsessed with hockey. Our team, the Florida Panthers, really stink, I’m not one to delude myself. But back in the day, we drafted a new goalie, and his name was Roberto Luongo. It didn’t take much time for me to have a full-blown crush on the guy – and I had reason. Number one, he meets all requirements to be “my type,” and he’s also one talented mofo. He’s now on the Vancouver Canucks and is rocking it in the Stanley Cup Finals (well, not during Game 6), and I don’t think I have to let you guys know who I am rooting for. Go Lu! Bring your A-game to Game 7! ;)
