Magical Moments Monday

Studying & Cubing

Happy Monday, everyone!

Due to my looming certification exam, I won’t be posting on the blog as much as I regularly do. It’s not exactly a hiatus – I’ll still be around, just not as often. I need to focus all I can on studying until I sit for it at the end of January, and am currently accepting all the well wishes and crossed fingers I can get. ;)

With that said, this weekend I became the proud owner of a Nissan Cube! I’ve been eying them since I heard they were making their way to America (remember this post?), so it’s completely surreal to be driving one right now. Three cheers for fuel economy!

What I Wore: European Vacation {Day 3}

Our third day in Barcelona was a good one. We took it easy. We visited the Picasso Museum, strolled through the port and had a very romantic dinner complete with wine and paella. I think this city is just made for romance and adventure – forget Paris (but that’s a whole other post). Although our stay got a little wetter than usual, the weather was still fantastic. It was beginning to cool down a bit, but not enough to need a coat and the hazy sky made it look even more foreign and mysterious. Have I mentioned that I loved Barcelona?

What I Wore: European Vacation {Day 2}

On our second day in Barcelona, we decided to take a bus tour to catch all the big sights. One of our first stops was Gaudi’s on-going masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia. Although I had seen pictures and heard stories, seeing this majestic structure for myself is something I will not forget anytime soon. Especially when I could admire it from a bench in a park across the street while holding hands with the hubs. It was just a special moment. I knew it had to be the backdrop for my outfit post! And it was. :)

I hope all of you have a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday with your loved ones, lots of delicious food and drinks! I’ll be celebrating with both my in-laws and my immediate family together, which I love doing. My cousin has a knack of putting together the most amazing Thanksgiving menus, so I am beyond excited!

What are you doing tonight? Are you hosting? Trying any new recipes?

What I Wore: European Edition {Day 1}

I promised I would do an outfit post every day while I was parading around Europe, and I’m happy to say I kept that promise (well, it got a little harder as the trip progressed and more and more clothes were dirty). Day 1 brings us to Barcelona. We absolutely loved the city, its vibe and beautiful sights. With every turn, there was something creative and beautiful. When we first arrived, jet lagged and groggy, we just decided to walk aimlessly. We walked down the famous Las Ramblas, made a couple of turns and stumbled on this adorable park sprinkled with cute children, pets and awesome graffiti. I had found my spot!

Magical Moments Monday

There is definitely a lot to be thankful for on this magical Monday, so I won’t waste any more time and just get to it:

x. The hubs and I just celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary & it was perfectly low key & romantic. Just our style.
x. Being home after a wonderful 2-week vacation. I missed our house and dogs so much!
x. Watching a shirtless Henry Cavill parade around with large sticks and bedazzled bows (as in archery, not hair accessories) in The Immortals.
x. Catching up on all our missed TV. What’s better than one episode of Fringe? THREE.
x. Pumpkin pie froyo date at TCBY.
x. A full-length Hunger Games trailer. And it looks amazing.
x. Getting my hubby completely enraptured with the HG series – now I can fangirl out with him!
x. Feeling the love on our new couple blog, The Bombardment Society.
x. Finding a fully stocked Harajuku Mini collection at my local Target AND being able to fit into a size XL!

Hope the rest of you had a fabulous week!
You all better keep on those strict diets leading up to Thursday’s turkey extravaganza!
Gobble gobble!

Back in the States

Hi everyone!

I’m back!!!
I can’t even describe how amazing our vacation was, but as they say, home is truly where the heart is. I’m reluctant to jump back into reality again, but at the same time, our little routine will be greatly appreciated after our nonstop hectic Euro schedule.

Big thanks to my guest bloggers, Anika, Elissa and Lori Todd. They really held the fort while I was gone and shared some pretty great content. What do you have to look forward in the weeks to come? Some Euro outfit posts, a giveaway and some fun and personalized guides to each city we visited.

I can’t wait to get back on the ball, but for right now, I need to get my bearings.
Melificent will be back in full swing starting next week!

‘Til then!
