Lovable Friday!

lovablefriday1Before jumping into my Friday Five, I want to wish all of you a safe & fun Fourth of July weekend! And while you are grilling those scrumptious burgers and laying by the pool, please think of me and have a frozen drink or two in my honor!

1. RockBand Party
1. RockBand Party

Tonight we are hosting a RockBand party at our pad. We are encouraging guests to dress in their best rock duds and bring their shredding skills as they live out their rockstar fantasies as only modern technology can provide. Although I am not going all out like I did for my 27th Rockstar Birthday Extravaganza, it should be fun to dress up, take some crazy ringlight photos and jam with our best friends. I will be sure to post all the pictures come Monday morning, promise. ;)

2. Rice Home Decor
2. Rice Home Decor

I really want to move to Denmark. Why? Just check out the home furnishings found at Rice, a homeware company based in both Denmark & Thailand. It makes my insides rejoice! I mean, look at this stuff! It is so colorfully wonderful –  I would love my home to look like any of their showrooms within their catalogue. I think it would be impossible to have a glum day with this kind of decor! Unfortunately, I do not see any links for purchasing in America, but if someone can direct me to something similar that may be a bit more local, I would love you forever! One of my favorite items? These great paper mache deer heads! Must.have.

3. Wipeout TV Show
3. Wipeout TV Show

I may be late jumping on this bandwagon, but I cannot suppress my love any longer for the ABC show, Wipeout. I have yet to watch a show ever that makes me laugh this hard. Call me evil, call me cold-hearted. I do not care. There is nothing like watching people crash into the side of walls, slip off of muddy big balls (see above for reference) and generally make fools out of themselves for no apparent reason. If ever a show existed specifically to make me happy, it would be this one. My husband often stares at me in disbelief as the tears roll down my face in pure hysterics. Please watch this show. I dare to say that if you don’t laugh, you are an android. Sorry.

4. Amazing Boutonnieres
4. Amazing Boutonnieres

I really wish I would have stumbled upon these while wedding planning because they are outrageous! If you want a unique and personal detail when dressing up your man to play groom for the evening, definitely get some inspiration from the following photos. This lovable item was discovered by my husband who sent me a link via email with “this is what my boutonniere should have looked like” as the subject. I think your guys would agree as well.

5. Diffractionfibers' Handmade Pillows
5. Diffractionfibers' Handmade Pillows

I love Etsy so much, but I have to say that I find it a bit overwhelming. There are so many amazing things that often times I don’t know where to start! So I let my favorite decor blogs guide me. One of them led me to this amazing shop of handmade pillows, Diffractionfibers. I love accent pillows, but most of the time, I find them ridiculously overpriced. I couldn’t be happier that I was turned on to these! Not only are they adorable, affordable & kitschy, but they are also eco-friendly! I assure you that some of these designs will pop up around my home. ;)

I wish I could go to your party! Sounds like fun. :)
& Etsy is so dangerous for me. Honestly, I usually don’t log in there because I can get lost looking at stuff for hours on end (and spending too much money), hehe.
