Some of my favorite things

Back for another edition of some of my favorite things.
As some of you can tell, I haven’t been having one of the best weeks, so it’s always nice to look at pretty & desirable items to decrease those feelings of mass murder. At least, it works for me.

So I received the latest CB2 catalog and am going to run down some of my fav’s. Some issues are not all that impressive, but this time around called for me to whip out the permanent marker and go crazy with the circling. You’ve been warned!

Engineer Dining Table

Engineer Dining Table – $399

I love the raw look of this table and think it would look amazing as a dining room table in a really modern space. And that price! Diggin’ it!

CityScape Shower Curtain

Cityscape Shower Curtain – $39.99

I’m always on the lookout for a new hip shower curtain and this one is lovely. Unfortunately, our CBGB curtain is on its last legs and I think this one with its bright yellow elements would look great in our mainly grey bathroom.

Desktop Chalkboard

Desktop Chalkboard – $14.95

Being a fan of chalkboard-anything, I think this is an adorable idea. Maybe not for the office-office, but definitely a cute statement for a home office.

Hem Floor Lamp

Hem Floor Lamp – $59.95

One of my only complaints about our current apartment is that we do not have enough light. We constantly have to be buying more floor and desk lighting to make our spaces seem somewhat bright and cheery. Unfortunately, this lamp would clash with our current decor, but I find it to be so adorable and kitschy!

Mercury Vases

Mercury Vases – $3.95-6.95

I think these would make such a fun accent for shelving – I have a few stainless steel spheres scattered around and I feel like they make such a subdued statement. Plus, with such an amazing price, you can load up on these pretties!

Movie Sofa
Movie Sofa - $999Ugh. I lust for this sofa. It is so modern, yet looks so comfy. And they couldn't have named it any better. Don't you just feel like curling up with your significant other, pet, stuffed animals, etc while watching a movie on this puppy? Because I do. Big thumbs down on that price tag though (maybe I'm just used to IKEA?)! Kudos to anyone that can find a similar sofa for less!

Oliver Appetizer Plates – $2.95 each

How flippin’ cute are these? They remind me of the Rejected cartoons, which means that they are made of epic win! Label this under Melificent must have.

Hyde Wall Mounted Cabinet

Hyde Wall Mounted Cabinet – $199

Again, another major downfall with apartment living is the lack of storage space. Our “office,” which is really known as the “just throw all the junk in there” room, would benefit greatly from something like this hidden cabinet system. Let’s just say it has been well noted in my brain for our next place.

Slat Ring

Slat Ring – $12.95

How fun is this rack that can be used to hold anything and everything? It makes racks fun and modern – something that’s pretty difficult to do! And how amazing is that yummy chartreuse (my favorite color ever) shade?

Port Hole Mirror

Port Hole Wall Mirror - $199

Who doesn’t wish they were on a cruise ship every morning? With this mirror, your fantasy can at least be a little more prolonged ;)

Glass Ball Strands

Bubble Ball Strands – $10.95

Again, this would make an awesome accent piece in a really modern home – pair these strands with some glass balls and then you are really in business! It would also look gorgeous as party centerpieces for a more sophisticated theme (think Breakfast at Tiffanys?).

Pinch Vases

Pinch Vases – $9.95 – 24.95

These fun vases add personality into any room – I love their strange curvature and bright poppy colors.

Swoop Desk

Swoop Desk – $299

Before we began house hunting, I was planning an office remodel and this desk was totally going to be included in the final design. I love how slick & modern, yet vintage it looks as well as its minimalism. Plus, the price is right! I’m still pretty confident it’ll be in my future ;)

Toro Chair

Toro Chair – $89.95

Pretty, isn’t it? These chairs remind me of something that should be in Mad Men! I love their vintage vibe that is only reinforced with that beautiful powder blue color. Yummy!
