I’m back everyone!!! I’ve felt pretty detached from all things Internet since we started the move last weekend, but I’m happy to report that I am back in the saddle! We are completely head over heels over our new home, but it is a lot of work! I’ll make sure to post pictures next week of the progress we have made and will be sharing a lot of our ideas for the future. Also, make sure to keep your eyes peeled next week for another amazing fashion giveaway you are going to love! June is going to be a very busy month for Melificent – I can’t wait to share it all with you guys!
I honestly cannot control my insane happiness over the news that my favorite band in the world, The Smashing Pumpkins, will be playing an extremely intimate series of shows during the month of July. As if that wasn’t cool enough, one of their few stops is in Fort Lauderdale, specifically, at Revolution Live (one of my favorite venues)! Are you kidding me???? I’m pretty sure I just fangirled myself. Mr. Corgan is also hinting that special VIP access may be granted to some special fans including a private soundcheck! Unfortunately, the band has not released ticket prices or onsale dates, which has me extremely anxious. Must.have.tickets.now.

Although I am not always a fan of physical, feather-y birds, I do love them used as decor and accessories! I guess the slight obsession began when we used birds to represent us for our printed wedding items, and I haven’t looked back since. While shopping for unique and fun things for our new house, I stumbled on these cuter than cute bird hooks from Urban Outfitters! They come in 5 different colors and are now on sale for a mere $4.99 – I think I’ll be picking myself up a pair for my closet before they all get snatched up!
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such a unique and adorable wedding. If I were to do it all over, I’d do it just like this! This sweet carnival-themed New York wedding makes even Martha Stewart look bad, but that didn’t stop her from featuring it in her newest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. The kazoos, that insanely amazing chuppah, the handmade dress, the table cards, the vintage centerpieces, pink elephants as the signature drink, the circus performers – I could go on and on. And oh how I died over their wedding invitations! These people know how to do creative right. & they apparently know how to do life right as well: their honeymoon was a trek through Europe for SIX MONTHS. Can they adopt me?
Oh, the LOLz I had when I stumbled on the amazing Etsy store, Beerring. For all my fellow beer lovers, the days of searching for a bottle opener and having to settle for your teeth, a set of keys or the edge of a table are over. Things that you do not immediately think about when moving into a new home: all the crap you will track in while dragging boxes, furniture and walking in after yard work. Trust me, you learn the hard way like I did! I knew I needed a door mat stat, but didn’t want to just head over to the usual stores and get a generic one. I headed over to Amazon and found this adorable Dandelion door mat from Tag. It’s going to look absolutely fabulous against our other blue outdoor accessories!
