(Merry) Lovable Friday!

Being that today is Christmas Eve (or Noche Buena for all my Latin readers), I figured I would keep with the holiday theme and show you some of my most favorite festive items I’ve stumbled on this week!

1. Candy Cane Cookies

Ah, baking. Relaxing (sometimes) and therapeutic (sometimes). While asking you all for your favorite holiday recipes last week as part of the Be My Clementine giveaway, my eyes landed on the seemingly delicious Candy Cane Cookies, submitted by my good friend, Camero (who has a wonderful food blog you should all check out). I decided these were the ones I was going to tackle. Despite some hang-up’s (didn’t form them into candy canes), they were a huge success. In fact, my boss came to my office to specifically ask me if there were any more left several days later (there definitely were not). I especially love how festive they look and the contrast created by the peppermint flavor.

2. Light Tree

Although people swear by real Christmas trees (even Glee’s Finn), I don’t see anything wrong with alternatives. As you all know, we have an artificial white tree and I don’t miss the real green one bit (well, maybe the smell every now and then). However, the folks over at A Merry Mishap have put together a different kind of tree, one only made up of lights strung up in a tree pattern on the wall. How great is that? I’m loving the modern minimalism. This would look great in a trendy loft or on an outdoor terrace.

3. Sparkly Table Trees

Oh Martha Stewart. You get me every time! While looking through this year’s top holiday crafts, I stumbled on this tutorial for sequined Christmas tree centerpieces. If I was having a holiday party this year, you better believe I would be rocking these fun and colorful table toppers! Best part is, you don’t need a whole lot of materials and just have to be creative with regular ‘ole tacky glue. Saving this one on the back burner for next year!

4. Diamond Santa Stocking

Every now and then, the holidays need a little bit of glitz and glam and this decadent stocking from Cambria Cove definitely does the trick! The hubs and I still don’t have any stockings for the house and we’ve been both silently hunting for one to match our personality this year in hopes that we will be able to snatch one up during the after Christmas sales. Although this one doesn’t scream Melificent, it sure is pretty to look at! Although it is still a little steep even after a discount ($69.99), it doesn’t hurt to bookmark to check out after the 25th (said like a true shopaholic).

5. Gift Wrap from the Nimbus Factory

“ARE THOSE NARWHALS ON MY PRESENTS?” Why yes, yes they are.

Honestly, who wouldn’t want to say that on Christmas day? I am absolutely in love with the whimsical wrapping paper from The Nimbus Factory, after it was featured on the always wonderful, Decor8. In fact, it’s almost so cute, I wouldn’t want to open the gift! Unfortunately, they only come in sheets, rather than rolls, so make sure whoever is getting this special paper is deserving!
