Although I’ve been a member of Pinterest for a little while now, it just recently hit me how amazing it truly is. I have been a pinning fool. It’s an addiction that I do not want to recover from. I love the idea of having virtual pin boards where I can collect ideas in organized sets. I used to do the same on Flickr, but it was messy and difficult to sort through. This, is so much sleeker and better. Plus, you get to share your pins with others and sort through their pins (and repin similar to Tumblr) as well. Feel free to visit my boards and if it strikes your fancy, say so in the comments so I can send you an invite!
Vintage photoshoots always make my heart flutter and sputter all at once, and this one was no different. The styling was absolutely beautiful, and I’m loving all the subdued era-appropriate poses mixed with the ultra-racy. Plus, you really can’t go wrong when the setting is on an authentic Navy ship, in this case, the USS Yorktown. Thanks for sharing this great set, Hot Pink Brides!
Miss the days of backpacks, block scheduling and bagged lunches? Yeah, me neither. But maybe I would be more nostalgic if wearing a pair of these ridiculously cute pencil flats by Jeffrey Campbell. Sure, they aren’t for everyone, but I think they’d look absolutely adorable paired with an all-black outfit for an extra bit of oomph! Well, at least when they go on sale – paying $100 for such a quirky piece is a bit steep!
Someone please alert the press: I have a new favorite color combo! Thanks to this sweet vintage-themed soiree featured on the Birthday Girl Blog (great inspiration for fellow party planners), I am now head over heels in love with pairing salmon and teal together. So much so, I feel like planning a party just so I can play with them! Swoon!
Cupcakes and Mace does it again with these fun name plates. You can choose from the following four fonts featured above, as well as from a bunch of different colors. Names up to 9 letters in length will just set you back $25 – way cheaper than other name plates I have come across while shopping online. If your name is longer than 9 letters, each extra letter will be $2. And being a regular Cupcakes and Mace customer, I can assure you that quality is top notch. I’m waiting until my wallet recovers from holiday hurt to pick one (or 2) up for myself!
