Lovable Friday!

First off, happy July everyone! Its my most favorite month, as it’s my birthday! This year will be a rough one to swallow (the big 3-0), but I still like all the love and festivities that surrounds it, so…bring it on!

1. Gorgeous photo setup

It’s summer time, and that means what better backdrop than the beautiful outdoors for your next photoshoot (make sure to pack a portable fan if you are a fellow South Florida resident)? Although mother nature can be beautiful on her own, these gorgeous props featured above can only help. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to be part of this shoot? Or at least run by and steal a cupcake?

2. Hero nail polish

I’m pretty sure wearing this polish duo on my nails would make me feel like some kick ass superhero, or maybe just David Bowie. Either way, I’ll take it. Just picked myself up some nice white polish so I’m definitely going to give this a go this weekend – it’s definitely time for me to start experimenting with nail art. Boring nails no more!

3. Felt party hats

I have a thing for party hats. It’s just not a birthday celebration without them. There’s just something about the color, the height…the pure ridiculousness of them. And these are just too adorable and seemingly easy to create all on your own! Well, if you know your way around a sewing machine, that is. Not that that’s going to stop me from trying to make some shoddy version for my birthday. Anyone else with me?

4. Comic bookshelves

I am married to a reformed comic book nerd. You may think that means that I made him throw them all away, but he actually came to terms with the fact that they no longer played a role in his life. He shed a tear (or 2) and moved on. But that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t love the culture. I think these bookshelves are the perfect way for a guy like him to still show his appreciation.

5. Mason jar decor

How fabulous are mason jars? I love how versatile they are, and how they can add a special twist to any occasion (I always get compliments when I use mine). My heart was set a-flutter when I saw the little get-up above. How easy, yet beautiful is this? Grab a mason jar, some glass pebbles, floating tea candles, raffia and add water! Instant gorgeous centerpiece! Definitely going to keep this one on file for future parties (although I could never tie such a pretty bow)!
