1. HBO's True Blood
1. HBO's True Blood

Again, late on this bandwagon, huh? Augi and I don’t have HBO, but we heard quite a lot about this series will the first season was airing last year. Everyone told us we would love it since we are both pretty big vampire fans so we made sure to kick it up to the top of our Netflix queue when Season 1 was released on DVD last week. We are hooked! The 3rd DVD just arrived last night and we are gobbling them up! I have to say I was kind of disappointed with the pilot, but the episodes have gotten progressively better and now there is no turning back! Right now I think I am in the massive minority when I say that I favor Sam over Bill?

2. Nico Vega
2. Nico Vega

OK, so I know I already gushed about Nico Vega in my review of the Gavin Rossdale concert, but I just got their album and it is so freaking amazing. I literally cannot stop listening to it and find myself humming to the tunes throughout the day. It’s so refreshing to hear such an amazing and unique new voice like Aja’s. Please pick up their album off Myspace Records, and check out their tour dates to see if they are coming to a city near you. Their live performance will blow you away. Unfortunately, they are not coming to South Florida, but I plan on harassing them on Twitter until they do ;)

3. Jason Mraz Naked...& pooping?
3. Jason Mraz Naked...& pooping?

Jason Mraz decided to share a very candid photo with his fans in his latest blog entry on  Myspace. He’s currently traveling the beautiful country of Costa Rica and thought it was only appropriate to share some eco-friendly toiletry tips with readers stating that “our asses are in trouble” along with this naked picture of him…squatting. For a poop? Who knows! To read the full post, click here.

4. Heroes begins filming!
4. Heroes begins filming!

This Monday, everyone’s favorite Heroes will be back on set to begin filming Volume 5: Redemption. I couldn’t be more excited! Volume 4 ended with quite the cliff hanger and I can’t wait to see in what direction they decide to take it. I hope they won’t deny us of too much Sylar now that he is a big star and all that jazz. Can’t we go back to the days when Zachary Quinto was unknown? Because that was nice. Anyways, I am totally looking forward to Heroes makeup artist extraordinaire, Wendi, to be tweeting regularly come Monday. It’s been way too long!

5. Poster Cabaret
5. Poster Cabaret

If you are a music fan, you will love Poster Cabaret. It’s an online store  housing all sorts of gig posters from a variety of indie rock bands by talented artists. A lot of them are reasonably priced such as this adorable Kings of Leon print which goes for only $25! It’s a great add to any office, rec room or lonely wall – plus, it can make for one great piece of memorabilia if taken to get signed by the bands themselves!  And who wants a run of the mill, ordinary band poster that can be found at a local retailer? These have way more street-cred and a hell of a lot of personality!

LOL, the Jason Mraz pic is great! I had seen him perform a few years back at Mizner Park, which was great since it’s such a small venue.

Kings of Leon poster is GORGEOUS.

I lovelovelove True Blood. I bought the DVD as soon as it came out. And I love both Sam and Bill, so mental conflicts arise! I wish really I still had HBO so I could watch it next week when Season 2 starts.

I’m hooked on True Blood too. I watched the Season 1 in two days. Can’t wait till Sunday!!! But I have to disagree, I <3 Bill Compton.
