Lovable Friday!

1. Polka Dot Mini

This little pretty has been circulating around Pinterest, and breaks one of their cardinal rules with an empty link! That’s right, this adorable polka dot mini skirt will remain a thing of fairy tales, as we do not know where to find it. Excuse me while I go cry into my glitter loafers.

2. Kitty Cases

Our bedroom is going to get a big face lift in the next few months, so I’ve been busy looking at elements we can add to make it more our own (right now it’s so lame and void of personality). One easy way to perk things up is with the right bed sheets/duvet cover/pillowcases. And look how cute these are!!! I know they are supposed to be kitty cats, but the first thing I thought of was Finn from Adventure Time, and who wouldn’t wake up with a smile after sleeping on Finn?? Maybe I’d become more of a morning person (puh-lease)? ;)

3. DIY Garlands

I recently discovered the many uses of foam balls – they are so cheap (can often be found at dollar stores) and multifaceted. But this project has really impressed me. The bride painted a bunch of different sized foam balls a bright and punchy red and strung them together with fishing line to make beautiful statement garlands. How gorgeous does that look??? Take note brides-to-be!

4. Lilac Ombre

Now that my pink ombre is starting to fade, I am starting to think of what color I should try next (naturally). I love that my most recent inspiration comes from my husband. He suggested I should try a light lilac after seeing Kelly Osbourne‘s ‘do. You gotta love him. Every girl should marry a designer. They come in handy. But I digress. Doesn’t the ombre pictured above just scream My Little Pony? So lovely! Now to see how I can make these shades work with my ginger locks. My poor hairstylist…

5. Elbow Patch DIY

I’ve always been a big fan of elbow patches, but have you realized how much designers bump up the price when the sweater or long-sleeve tee include them? Not a fan of that. That’s why this DIY made me smile, and not only because the patches are heart-shaped (d’awww). I am loving this new-to-me technique of needle felting, which basically consists of stabbing a needle into fabric. This sounds like a great project for my next girly crafting get-together: stabbing fabric with needles while drinking champagne. SOLD.

  • The Fashionable ESQ

Hi monkey! I love the polka skirt and hate empty links. It’s my pet peeve when people don’t post photo credits! Like those blogs that just post scanned images or pictures with no captions or credit..dont get me started. (rant).

I am one of the few people that loves Kelly O’s hair. I say you should do something similar. When have you ever looked bad with ANY hair color? NEVER!
