I don’t think I need to describe what Comic-Con is anymore or the fact that I am going next month, right? Yeah, I didn’t think so. This week, some of the heavy hitters of the television world announced their presence at Comic-Con. Interested into who will be in attendance and holding panels? Check out this link for the schedule complete with date and times, but you can expect to see Big Bang Theory, Dexter, LOST, True Blood, Fringe, Eureka and the much-anticipated Flash Forward. The biggest disappointment and definitely not something to love this Friday is that Heroes will officially not be holding a panel this year. They will have “a presence” (whatever the hell that means) and with this presence apparently comes a sneak peek at Season 4. I’m super bummed because Heroes panels are known as being the best of the entire convention – I was really looking forward to participating in one. Oh well, let’s hope this presence is a damn powerful one, right Heroes fans? 
I’m adore youtube. This is nothing new. Often times, I spend my lunch time with co-workers laughing hysterically at people’s ridiculous videos and discovering new ones. This one takes the cake, my friends. Apparently a trend on the Internets is to literally translate music videos. There are a few out there, but the one for Total Eclipse of the Heart is definitely the best. By the way, was I the only one that didn’t know how messed up this video was? I could definitely think of a few 90’s videos that could use this treatment – Greedy Fly would be hilarious!
Had to make a little Forever 21 run this week (to feed the addiction) and I absolutely fell in love with their jewelry as I was moseying around the store. I picked up this amazing anchor necklace as well as a great sparrow one as well. You cannot beat the price either – each necklace was only $4.50!! I loved their big, chunky and iconic styles – stop by and pick a few up – you’d be amazed how quickly they will re-vamp your outfit!
Speaking of vamps, my new favorite show, True Blood, will be premiering its second season on HBO this Sunday! I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us as Season 1 ended great! Still unsure as to my feelings towards Bill Compton. I think I’m still feeling Sam way more…sorry, ladies, I know there are a lot of Bill fans out there! I’m even more excited as I will be attending a True Blood viewing party at a close friend’s house – it’s always way more fun to share premieres (& finales) with friends that are big fans as well. Makes for a lot of screaming at the TV Ps; have you seen the new intro to the show set to Nine Inch Nails? Check it out here!
Mute Math is one of the most underrated bands out there and happen to be one of my favorites. I’ve seen them live several times and they never fail to blow me away with their performances. Plus, I’ve had the opportunity to meet them and can say they are absolute sweethearts and deserve all the success they have gotten lately due to being featured on the Twilight soundtrack. But us fans have been waiting years now for a new album and we will finally get one this August! Besides Spotlight, which is the song for Twilight, they have just released another new song: Nerve. You can hear it on their official site. I have to say that I am not a big fan of the chorus, but the rest of the song sounds great – really raw and rockin’. Can’t wait to hear more and most importantly, can’t wait for a tour that heads in our direction!
