Hair Polygamist.

I don’t know what my deal is, but I cannot stay loyal to one hairstyle. I just can’t do it! I pride myself on not having these commitment issues with any other aspect of my life, but this one I cannot quit! And I’m getting that itch now. When I got my haircut only 2 months ago, my new hairstylist told me I needed to get my hair cut every 2 months because my hair is color-treated. At that time, I just rolled my eyes but now I’m starting to think he strategically cut my hair so it would need another cut in that 2 month window! I feel like my hair has already lost its shape and pretty layers. So it’s time for something new – and no better time than right before my birthday & trip to San Diego, right? ;)

I was trying to stay safe & grow out my hair which usually means really boring cuts. And Meli doesn’t like really boring cuts. I want something a little more edgy, fun & young, which made me think that maybe I should include some fringe bangs to the mix. I will probably totally regret it once they start entering that long, awkward stage but what the hell – hair should be fun! And with fun sometimes comes annoyance. Or so I will tell myself!

These are some inspirational pictures I have found so far:

So since all of you had such great advice last time I was looking for a haircut, I’m asking you all for what you think again! Which one looks the best and/or would flatter me best?

I LOVE the 3rd choice for you! I so wish I had straight hair so I could go edgy like that :(
Talk about boring hair….I can’t really cut it short :( I’ll look like Annie.

    I love #1 and #3!

Meli, I am being a little biased here because I wish I had your hair so I could get Rachel McAdams’ haircut, so that’s my vote! I feel you have the hair and face for any haircut! Well, I wish I could get Katie Holme’s really!!!

I like the last two. They are more edgy and blunt than the other “pretty” choices.

I hear ya! I have trouble sticking to the same hairstylist mostly because I want to avoid the small talk.

I love #2 and #3. They seem similar enough that you could style it like Rachel McAdam’s when you want to look more polished or you can style it like Kristin Cavallari (?) for an edgier look.

I also have hair envy and wish mine were straight like yours to chopt it all off!

      Actually girl #3 is just a random Flickr-ite. :)
Thanks for the envy, but sometimes I wish I had thinner hair! It’s so hard to control!

Oh dear, I like all of them! The Mandy Moore one (I think that’s Mandy Moore?) is especially nice, very rock-star. I also like the last one, it’s nice and edgy :D

(We used that same Rachel McAdams pic for Kavita’s hair inspiration when she got her fringe done!)

    There’s no Mandy Moore! LOL
Where did you guys go? I think it was an Aveeda salon? Nice & cheap? I like those. ;)
