I wish I could tell you I know exactly where you can find and purchase these adorable cloud hangers, but unfortunately, this was one of those random Tumblr finds. However, after some Internet research, I found similar ones from one of my old favorites, Fred Flare. How cute would these look in a child’s closet or just to display some special frocks? Sigh!
OK, so I don’t know what to think about my new hair color. I figured it would be a little shocking to me the first couple of days, but I still get kind of startled in the mirror every morning. I’m also leaking red dye every night in the shower and staining all my towels (is this normal? It has never happened to me for this long…). Plus, I’m scared to wear anything too colorful for fear that I may be one big clash monster. And not wearing color makes my world a pretty sad and angry place to live in.
So, I’m conflicted. Does it look good? Should I keep it? Am I overreacting?
Or, should I grab the closest bottle of Nice ‘N Easy and go to town attempting to dull it down?
I need your help! Please answer this poll as truthfully as possible. Every vote is anonymous, so no need to worry that you are offending me. Honestly, people have been pretty candid about the way they feel about my hair already, so I am used to the looks of complete horror.
And yes, that is a most excellent DRIVE SHAFT tee I am rocking. I love you, Charlie Pace.
The Travalo caught my eye after I heard of this fantastic product from a local South Florida blogger. It seemed like the perfect item for me to try out as I was stressing as to how I was going to transport my fragrance(s) on our trip to Europe. I thought this was such a genius idea! The itty bitty Travalo is a refillable perfume atomizer that is airline approved, which means smooth sailing through security checks. Just pick your favorite fragrance, in my case, Ms. Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B., and twist off the pump in order to attach the bottom of the Travelo to it.
I haven’t done an outfit post in awhile and I also wanted to showcase my new hair color, so I decided to double up on this lovely Monday with two blog posts! I have been a blonde for over a year, so I figured it was high time I went back to my absolute favorite: red. However, I didn’t want my usual strawberry blonde – I wanted something different and darker. Granted, I wasn’t expecting something this bright and loud, but I think I am finally starting to warm up to it. I just have to get used to my new color palette. I hope all the pink I’m bringing to Europe won’t be a clash fest!
First off, today is especially magical because it is my hubs’ birthday! He has proved to be my rock as well as my happy place this year – I’m pretty sure I’d be lost without him. Plus, I am especially proud of him for the extreme growth he has displayed – he inspires me every day with his creativity and drive. I love you, monkey. Always & forever.
As far as the rest of the magic, here goes:
x. getting trip goodies in the mail x. making some great connections x. new books to read x. have I mentioned our vacation is only ONE WEEK AWAY??? x. new favorite Essie shade: jazz x. perfecting my Katniss Everdeen costume x. I’m a redhead again! x. still drives me wild that one of my favorite bands loves me back. x. driving with the windows down x. sunshine: something we had not seen in about a week! x. spending much needed time with family x. walking around South Beach on a gorgeous day x. the Once Upon A Time pilot – in Damon Lindelof I trust
Figures this lovely image came straight from Kate Spade’s Holiday shoot – why is all her stuff so perfectly fun and chic? I almost can’t stand it. Despite how gorgeous and glittery the model’s dress is, my eyes went directly to the matching sparkly penguins! How fun would these look, not only as cake toppers, but as fun centerpieces or card holders for a festive holiday cocktail party or dinner? I’m definitely going to scribble this one down as a must-do holiday project. Best part is, you can just head over to Target, and pick up some small animal figures, loose glitter and some sort of adhesive, and be ready to go! Perfect!
I hope you all had a great weekend! Despite all the rain and gloom in our neck of the woods, we had a really action-packed one! Here are some of the moments that made it, and the rest of last week, so special;
x. receiving an invite to a blogger event x. playing sloshball with good friends x. karaoking to No Doubt x. surprise visit by friends that led to talking for hours over fruity drinks x. creating a new playlist on Spotify, Powerful x. putting together my application to sit for certification – big deal x. lunch date with old coworkers/friends x. getting a package from Romwe with adorable accessories x. finding the perfect affordable foundation (Revlon’s ColorStay if interested) x. starting to pack for Europe (now 2 weeks away!!) x. Zachary Quinto finally came out
Lots of shopping to do this week – picking up final little items for our trip, as well as Halloween costumes! I love October!
I love all things Gwen Stefani (I kind of want to be her when I grow up), so naturally I’m a big fan of all her fashion lines. You can imagine how excited I got when I found out she was not only making a more budget kiddie line, but that it would be exclusively sold at Target stores! Sure, I don’t have any children just yet, but it’s not too early to start collecting swag, right? OK, so that might be a little crazy, but this girl right here does not care. I just may try to squeeze into that perfect little tutu skirt! {God help me if I have a daughter.} Let’s just hope it doesn’t result in another Missoni debacle.
So while I was driving last week, this huge and ridiculous smile spread across my face. Why? It was an absolutely gorgeous day, I was listening to one of my favorite bands on the radio and there was little to no traffic on the expressway. I got to thinking that the most simple things in life often go overlooked. However, oftentimes these overlooked moments are what makes life so magical. We tend to focus on the negative…well, maybe I should rephrase that. I tend to focus on the negative. I like to think that I am a pretty cheerful person, but I sometimes let myself get too overwhelmed with the seemingly bad or stressful. I won’t lie, this year has been a difficult one, but in the grand scheme of things: I am such a lucky girl.
I really love nameplates and initials on jewelry. I like the personalization and the simplicity. Believe it or not, despite my loud wardrobe, I prefer simple jewelry. These initial rings by Laladesignstudio on Etsy scream understated perfection. And it seems I’m not the only one that felt that way, due to overwhelming demand, she had to close her shop to catch up on orders. No worries though, you can ask to be notified when the shop is ready to be opened once more!
