1. Partial Comic-Con Schedule Released!
1. Partial Comic-Con Schedule Released!

I don’t think I need to describe what Comic-Con is anymore or the fact that I am going next month, right? Yeah, I didn’t think so. This week, some of the heavy hitters of the television world announced their presence at Comic-Con. Interested into who will be in attendance and holding panels? Check out this link for the schedule complete with date and times, but you can expect to see Big Bang Theory, Dexter, LOST, True Blood, Fringe, Eureka and the much-anticipated Flash Forward. The biggest disappointment and definitely not something to love this Friday is that Heroes will officially not be holding a panel this year. They will have “a presence” (whatever the hell that means) and with this presence apparently comes a sneak peek at Season 4. I’m super bummed because Heroes panels are known as being the best of the entire convention – I was really looking forward to participating in one. Oh well, let’s hope this presence is a damn powerful one, right Heroes fans? ;)

1. HBO's True Blood
1. HBO's True Blood

Again, late on this bandwagon, huh? Augi and I don’t have HBO, but we heard quite a lot about this series will the first season was airing last year. Everyone told us we would love it since we are both pretty big vampire fans so we made sure to kick it up to the top of our Netflix queue when Season 1 was released on DVD last week. We are hooked! The 3rd DVD just arrived last night and we are gobbling them up! I have to say I was kind of disappointed with the pilot, but the episodes have gotten progressively better and now there is no turning back! Right now I think I am in the massive minority when I say that I favor Sam over Bill?

1. The Band from TV Gig
1. The Band from TV Gig

I am so excited that this Saturday I will be seeing Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar and the rest of The Band from TV perform at the Shore Club on South Beach! I’ll be sharing the adventure with fellow Miami blogger, Rosy, and will definitely be taking as many pictures and videos as humanly possible to share with all of you on Monday! My fangirl switch has definitely been turned all the way to 10, but I also have to say that it felt good donating to charity (which I try to do as much as possible). For those of you that are interested, tickets are still available and can be purchased here! I hope to see some of you there!

Heroes Season Finale

So last night marked the end of season 3 for Heroes and that only meant one thing: finale party! Unfortunately, a lot of our guests couldn’t make it so it was only the hubs, myself and our good friend, Roxy, but we had a great time regardless. Roxy made these amazing Sylar cupcakes, which bled red food coloring when you bit into them – so awesome & delicious! She has definitely been our cupcake mistress. Remember those epic Cylon cupcakes for the Battlestar Galactica finale?

OK, now on to the show. If you have not yet watched or are in the UK or other countries that may be behind the US, please stop reading here! I would hate to spoil anyone’s viewing experience :)

1. WorkChic Blog
1. WorkChic Blog

As a girl that struggles putting together appropriate and chic outfits for the office, I can truly appreciate the advice given on the WorkChic blog. Unlike other working girl blogs, they cover a variety of different budgets as well as different levels of formality from casual to professional and everything in between. My difficulties stem from having to put together business casual outfits while knowing that I will be working with children. Plus, I tend to gravitate more towards the “fun clothes” while shopping. Hopefully by putting WorkChic on my list of favorite blogs, I can be inspired to be one hot office fashionista ;) [Read more…]

Weekend Highlights

friday12009_monsters_vs_aliens_0011

Friday night I was lucky enough to join the AgencyNet gang for a night of fun, which was all put together by the chairman of awesomeness, Omar. Seriously. That’s his title. The night consisted of pizza, booze and Monsters vs. Aliens 3D at the IMAX theater! I have to say that the movie was not the most spectacular thing in the world, but it was cute. The 3D really didn’t give it that much of a boost either. I would probably recommend a rental for this one. Although I’m pretty much in love with Insectasaurus, that big crazy looking thing in the photo above. I couldn’t help but think of my baby Boston, Gwen (if you know her, you understand). On that note, I move on to Saturday…

Grunny invades Miami!

picture-14

For those of you not familiar with the Band From TV, it is made up of Greg Grunberg and Adrian Pasdar of Heroes and a few of their fellow TV buddies. They tour around the country playing mostly covers on their off-time for various charity functions and earlier this week Grunny made an announcement that a new tour date had been added to their website.

I couldn’t have been happier to see it was a Miami show! Looks like Band from TV will be invading the Miami Shore Club on South Beach on May 16th. They are offering two price levels: $100 for general admission & $175 for VIP which includes pre-partying with the band and their friends.

1. El Sanchez Photoshoots
1. El Sanchez Photoshoots

Nothing describes a more perfect weekend than going out for a photoshoot with my husband. Although photography is just his hobby, he is extremely passionate about it (as well as talented). Even though sometimes I get embarrassed when posing out in public for his shots, I always tend to love the results when I finally relax and get comfortable. This weekend we’ll be heading to the Fair for a photoshoot with a bunch of friends. Can’t wait!

Weekend Highlights

Since I don’t post on weekends, I’ve decided that maybe Monday’s should recap all the fun or maybe not-so-fun things that happened Friday through Sunday. Does that sound like a good idea? Let me know! You all know I love comments & I don’t get enough of them!

So here we go, my weekend roundup:

friday1

- I finished watching the So NoTORIous episodes. It was hilarious. I want my own GBFF.
– Gwen became very concerned while watching Tori’s pug, Mimi La Rue.
– OK, I just discovered Mimi La Rue died. Sadness! May the little ham stuffed in a doile rest in peace.

1. So NoTORIous
1. So NoTORIous

Yes, it’s an old show. No, I never watched it. Until now. And although it makes my brain bleed because of its complete stupidity, I can’t help but love Zachary Quinto‘s character, Sasan (gah, I lurve him). Sasan is based on Tori Spelling’s real-life very gay personal assistant and Mr. Quinto nails it (a little too?) perfectly! After knowing him solely as creeptastic Sylar, there were a few moments where I literally laughed out loud at the pure ridiculousness that spewed from his mouth. Case in point: “I’m gay, Iranian, and Muslim. All my identities hate each other. It’s a miracle my complexion is as flawless as it is.” Epic.
