So as you all know, I’m ramping up for summer and I figured it was the perfect time to upload a more summer-friendly mixtape! All these tunes make me think of laying out by the pool, road trips with no particular destination, flip flops and sunshine or all of the above. So turn it up and get your dose of musical vitamin D!

What are your favorite summer tunes for 2010?

Once again, All-Mighty strikes in the cute department! They just recently released some new items, including an adorable paws necklace along with this wrapping paper sprinkled with Boston Terriers. Unfortunately, it is $3 a sheet and not a roll. Total bummer!

Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner, which means it’s officially summer: time for BBQ’s, pool parties and long walks on the beach! And naturally this means you need to stock up on some new, sweet summer dresses, right? Well, luckily the adorable site, Conversation Pieces, has decided to team up with Melificent to host this amazing giveaway to help you do just that!

Up for grabs is this adorable dress from the site’s new summer lookbook and you can enter to win by following these 3 simple steps:
1. Visit ShopConversationPieces.com.
2. Find the name of the dress pictured above.
3. Post the name of the dress in this post’s comments along with your dress size.
& there you have it!
The winner will be picked at random on Tuesday (5/18) and announced on the blog.
Good luck everyone!

I definitely have something for British men, so it was no surprise that I immediately loved Baltar, played by James Callis, during the very few episodes of Battlestar Galactica I caught randomly as my husband played catch up over the weekends. I then unfortunately embarrassed myself to no end last year at Comic-Con when my friend, Fullman, got us tickets to see the BSG Orchestra in concert and I drunkenly stumbled towards Mr. Callis, grabbed his arm, pulled him over from his group of friends and told him I thought he was “so awesooommmme.” True story. Now when I see the poor man on FlashForward, that is basically all I can think about. Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol. ![]()
Enjoy the nerd-licious picspam, ladies!

Thanks to Filter Magazine, I was able to score a digital copy last week of The Dead Weather‘s sophomore album, Sea of Cowards, which is officially released in the US today. I have to say at first listen, I was missing the fun, yet raw tunes from their 2009 debut, Horehound, but that was very short-lived. I popped my copy of the album in my car as we took a road trip this past weekend and was really able to sit back and enjoy it. After all, isn’t music better at maximum volume while barreling down a barren highway?
But I digress.

Saturday we went on a mini-road trip up to Orlando to pick up some white laminate flooring for the hubs’ office. Unfortunately, our IKEA doesn’t carry laminate flooring any longer and they refused to ship it down to our Sunrise location (which I thought was silly) so we just had to take matters into our own hands and drive up there to grab it ourselves! Since we were making the trek, we decided to make it worth our while by stopping in to Orlando’s new H&M at the Florida Mall. I wasn’t very lucky with clothes (either they didn’t have my size or it was ill-fitting), but was able to stock up on cute accessories including the two pairs of shoes above! The striped wedges were only $20, while the orange ballet flats were $10! I definitely cannot wait to have one of these closer to home! ![]()

Now that we are almost ready to move into our new home (squee!), I’ve been shopping for a lot more home accessories than usual. Unfortunately, I stumbled upon this gorgeous ruffled shower curtain from Anthropologie. I say unfortunately because this pretty little lady is $118! Of course, after seeing it, I became obsessed with having a ruffled shower curtain in our master bathroom and thankfully after some Internet scouring, I found a more affordable ruffle action from Target. But I’ll most probably still find myself lusting after this one from time to time. Oh, how you pain me so, Anthropologie!

Muse may not give us tour dates (that’s right, I’m talking about Florida), but they were generous enough to record their amazing Resistance Tour in its entirety for our viewing pleasure. The band released the footage on Myspace and it will definitely turn all those non-believers into die hard fans. With their monstrous video pillars and powerhouse performances, you can’t deny that Muse is one of the best live rock acts out there.
I’ll continue crossing my fingers that they will bring their show down to the Sunshine State, but for now, I’ll settle on watching this pretty epic display of win.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I had to feature a Mexican hottie. And since I have already featured my favorite, Gael Garcia Bernal, I decided to choose his partner in crime, Diego Luna. Although I don’t find him to be the hottest dude around, you have to admit that the guy is a great actor and has that certain something. Plus, doesn’t he just look like he’d be a riot to share a couple of margaritas with? Salud, ladies!
