Finally you can wear an animal around your neck and not get any slack from PETA! This perfectly kitschy knit scarf by Donna Wilson is too cute for words! In fact, I think I would find it too cute to wear. I would probably sit it on my couch, pretend it was my pet, feed it imaginary cupcakes and reminisce about one of my favorite childhood cartoons, David the Gnome.
As crazy as it seemed at the time, the hubs and I decided to add a new show to our arsenal, Weeds. I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Mary Louise Parker at Comic Con this past year and had only heard great things about the show. I have to say that I was not expecting the tone. It is so perfectly quirky and hysterical – right up my alley. I honestly do not know how I didn’t catch on earlier! Needless to say, the hubs and I are already caught up on Season 6 and terribly depressed that we now have to wait for Monday nights, just like everyone else, to catch a new episode. I’ve seen the Botwin boys grow up quickly throughout seasons due to our marathon watching and my, did Silas Botwin, played by Hunter Parrish, grow up nicely! The hunky 23-year-old hosts a comedic podcast Two Guys and a Girl and was the male lead in Broadway’s Spring Awakening in 2008. He also has a pretty active Twitter account where he seems to interact often with fans, but for now settle for a smokin’ pic spam!
The last minutes of Dexter‘s season finale was definitely one of the most shocking moments on television that has had fans thinking ever since. How will Dexter go on with such overwhelming guilt? What will happen to his seemingly “perfect” family: the perfect cover for his extracurricular activities? Will anyone finally discover his dark passenger?
It has definitely been a torturous wait for all us Dexter fans, but my great friends at Showtime have come to soothe over the pain with news that Dexter will be back with a new season starting September 26th! They have also come bearing gifts: one being the brand new key art featured above and a fun giveaway for all my readers!

Miami is finally getting the ball rolling when it comes to foodie culture and the lineup hand-picked by Burger Beast for the Fall for the Arts Festival on Sunday definitely gave all of us hope that we are moving in the right direction! Some of Miami’s finest food trucks were on site, allowing us to sample some of their gourmet cuisine on wheels, as well as other foodie favorites such as Totally Bananas (totally reminded me of Arrested Development) and Feverish Ice Cream among others.
We got there as soon as the festival began, which means we had to do a lot of waiting around for the trucks to actually begin taking orders. Unfortunately, I think this event should have been held a bit later in the year when the weather gets a little more tolerable because the intense Miami heat was beating down on us with absolutely no mercy. We spent the majority of our time under an air-conditioned tent, having to amp ourselves up to venture back into the face-melting weather and the only thing driving us was food.
As of tonight, it is official: fall TV is back! And it will be lead by the season 2 premiere of The Vampire Diaries! This time around, we see quite the love square with the Salvatore brothers’ past lady love, Katherine, entering the picture to shake things up a bit. It should prove to be a pretty interesting season and I for one can’t wait to see how they address all the cliffhangers they tortured us with during the season 1 closer.
One thing is for sure: I have missed the hottest cast on TV in some time and am excited to have them back on my screen on a weekly basis. And I’m celebrating by inviting some of my friends that are fans of the show to a viewing party at our place! What do you guys think of the show? Today’s hump day hottie is a special treat from my buddy, Tammy. She sent me a text suggesting that I feature Dave Annable, who plays Justin Walker on ABC’s Brothers and Sisters. Although I do not watch the show, Mr. Annable quickly caught my eye and apparently I am not the only one. He came in at #7 on People’s Sexiest Men Alive in 2007 and is engaged to the absolutely stunning Cloverfield star, Odette Yustman. So start getting jealous, ladies, and enjoy the picspam parade!
The always fabulous Gavin Rossdale just announced on his Twitter tonight that if he reaches 20,000 followers, he will gift one of them with a pair of VIP tickets to Epicenter Fest, where they will not only witness Bush’s first show back together since 2002, but do so from up-top the stage! I am absolutely in love with this adorable French site, La Photo Cabine. It’s a mock photobooth that you can use for free (!) as long as you have a webcam, which are usually already installed in most laptops these days. Once your 4 photos are snapped, they are easily downloadable to your computer or can even be shared on your Facebook. It’s a great little service that can be really fun while having friends over or if you are just having a particularly silly day. My only complaint is that the pictures are taken too quickly, so you oftentimes come out looking pretty ridiculous if not prepared, but that may add to the fun factor.

I’m sure some of you remember when I featured what I believe will be my new favorite movie, The Romantics, on Lovable Friday last month. Well, the very stylish and beautiful cast has been chosen to model J. Crew’s new fall fashion line. I think J.
